ProperIntro

For journalists, editors, producers and hosts

Your name. Your terms.

Publicists use ProperIntro to find people like you. You can see what we hold, correct it, say how you like to be approached, or opt out entirely. It’s free, and it takes a few minutes.

Your options

Choose what suits you.

Claim and update

Sign in with your work email. If it matches the address we hold, the profile is yours instantly. Otherwise a person reviews it. Then edit your title, city and pitch preferences yourself.

Claim your listing

Stop the pitches

Mark your listing do-not-contact. Customers can no longer reveal your address or email you through ProperIntro, and every campaign skips you.

Questions

What you’re probably wondering.

  • What does ProperIntro hold about me?

Professional information only: your name, role and outlet, the topics you cover, links to your published work, and a work email if one is publicly known or was provided. We don’t hold personal social accounts or home details.

  • Who can see my email address?

Nobody sees it by default. Customers see a masked version, and revealing it is limited, logged and blocked entirely if you opt out.

  • How do you know it’s really me?

If the account you sign in with has a confirmed email that matches the one we hold, we approve instantly. If not, we ask for a link that shows it, such as your byline page, and a person reviews it.

  • Does my outlet control this too?

Outlets can protect senior contacts and set guidelines for their team. Where you and your outlet both edit, the history is kept, and either of you can ask for a correction.

  • Is it free?

Yes. Claiming and managing your own listing is free and always will be.
